The Science Museum of Virginia is the largest of its kind in the state, with hundreds of exhibits ranging from a simulated international space station, to a series of light illusions. The museum keeps in its collection a variety of record-breaking objects, including the world's largest sundial, the world's largest kugel and the world's largest crystallography exhibit. In addition to its regular exhibits, the museum has live demonstrations and activities, a large IMAX and a planetarium. It's located near downtown Richmond in the Museum District, which also contains the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.
