The Virginia Historical Society Museum uses its space to display an assortment of temporary, long-term and special exhibits that relate to the history of this centuries-old state. One such exhibit, "The Story of Virginia: An American Experience," covers the lifestyles and events that have taken place in Virginia dating all the way back to Native American times. Interactive exhibits make the museum a fun destination for guests of all ages, with activities and exploratory projects for kids to participate in and antique items and stories for adults to enjoy. Located in the Museum District, other nearby educational centers include the Science Museum of Virginia and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.
